Rainy San Diego

It's been rainy and cold here the last couple of days so we've been working on laundry and other household chores. Cold is a subjective issue I guess, it's been in the low 50s during the day which seems frigid to me, but my dad is trying to stay warm up in Seattle where it isn't even getting up to 40 during the day so I know how blessed we are to be in San Diego.

It felt like a good day to slowly simmer some mixed beans for dinner

We finally found out what variety of avocado we have. It's a  rare Reed/Bacon hybrid.

The Mr. Lincoln roses are great at adding some cheer to a gloomy day

Here is another view of the current most beautiful thing in the garden

The seeds we planted on the 1st are finally starting to emerge, the winter growing season is slow

Gidget thinks I am responsible for the rain so she is occupying my desk chair.
